The DGSA rules apply (with certain exemptions) to undertakings involved in the preparation, storage, or transport of dangerous substances. There is a legal requirement for one or more DGSAs to be appointed on a full or a part-time basis. The DGSA is responsible for checking that the dangerous goods rules and regulations are being adhered to within their company. Friendberry offer a 5 day DGSA training course for candidates to take Core, All Classes and Road papers. Examinations are set by the SQA Examinations Board. The course is intensive. It covers the ADR requirements relating to such matters as classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances in UN Classes 1 to 9, Transport Categories, Limited and Excepted quantities, Documentation, Placarding and Marking of vehicles. All materials needed for the course are provided. A list of authorised exam material will be provided at the time of booking. This can be purchased along with the course and includes the latest version of ADR.
